In September, Hana Microfinance’s Learning and Development (L&D) department conducted a series of key training programs, including sessions for new Branch Managers (BMs), Assistant Branch Managers (ABMs), middle-level management leadership, and onboarding for new staff.
New BM and ABM Training (August 31 - September 3)
A training session for newly appointed BMs and ABMs was held at the Head Office, with 11 attendees. CEO U Min Min Zaw, along with C-level executives and department heads, welcomed the participants. The session covered essential topics such as Hana’s corporate culture, audit and digitalization procedures, accounting practices, HR policies, and fraud prevention strategies.
Leadership Training for Middle-Level Management (September 7 - 8)
A leadership training session for middle-level management (Batch 4) was conducted at the Head Office in Yangon. The session had 29 in-person attendees and 11 online participants, totaling 40. The training focused on understanding managerial duties and responsibilities, boosting employee productivity, and developing leadership skills.
Deputy COO U Thant Zin delivered the opening speech, followed by the CHRO’s discussion on employee challenges and feedback. The CFO shared success stories, emphasizing leadership behavior, work competencies, and inspiring the participants to develop their skills.
Onboarding Training for New Staff (September 12 - 13)
To integrate new employees into the company, an onboarding training session was held on September 12 and 13. Participants were introduced to Hana's history, vision, mission, and core values, with a special focus on 'Discipline Performance.' The CFO, Mr. Yoo, and CHRO, Daw Thet Htar Oo, along with other department heads, provided insights into company procedures. Each participant received welcome gifts as part of the onboarding experience, and the new employees were warmly welcomed into the Hana family.
