After the recent earthquake, we at Hana Microfinance mobilized quickly to support our clients and staff across affected regions, providing over MMK 30 million in welfare funds.
Right after the disaster, we quickly formed an Emergency Response Team and worked closely with our branch offices on the ground. Using the information we gathered, we reached out to our clients in the most impacted areas—Phyu, Taungoo, and Yedashe in Bago Region; Meiktila, Myittha, Pyawbwe, Wundwin, and Yamethin in Mandalay Region; Lewe, Pyinmana, and Tatkon in Naypyitaw; Sagaing in Sagaing Region; and Pinlaung, Pindaya, and Shwe Nyaung in Shan State—to provide support.
We also extended support to our own team members. Staff from branches nationwide joined hands with the company to donate funds, with the company matching all employee contributions. Together, we raised over MMK 28 million to assist affected colleagues.
Our parent company, Hana Financial Group, further reinforced our efforts by donating nearly USD 70,000 through the Korean Red Cross to help earthquake victims in Myanmar.
At Hana Microfinance, we remain deeply committed to the social and economic well-being of our clients and our team. We stand with our communities—especially when they need us most.
